March 2012 Update
Very good evening with Wildlife Speaker Brian Pettit last Wednesday , I’m sure everyone enjoyed Brian’s photographs and his humorous comments. He has been booked again for January 2013 , if you missed it this time make a note in your diary.
On Thursday 1st March the SAPA All v All DPI was held at Fordingbridge , we came 9th out of 12.
We have succeeded this year for the first time to get through to the League Final in the DPI’s, which will be held at Parkstone on 28th March. Congratulations to everyone who had a DPI selected.
The Committee are in the process of producing the programme for the 2012/13 season and this will be on the web site soon. We have some indoor workshops and new places to visit on evenings and weekends through the Summer months i.e. Micheldever Woods for the Bluebells, Mottisfont Gardens & The Raptor Centre at Ringwood.
The Club now has a membership of 45 and I am sure you all have some good ideas for Competitions, workshops etc. Feedback needed from you as to what you would like to do over the coming year.
There are tickets available at £15 each for the Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne on Thursday 29th March to see Doug Allen , Life Behind the Lens, he was one of the Cameramen on Blue Planet & Frozen Planet amongst others .
Come and share our enthusiasm of still photography and hear our knowledgeable speakers on photographic subjects, participate in competitions for all abilities. Meetings are held at Bournemouth Electric Club every 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month. Please see our events program for additional meetings
