Our speakers tend to be highly regarded photography profesionals who come to our camera club armed with some of their best and favourite images on a particular subject. So Can Anyone Come to Your Photography Talks in Bournemouth ?
We welcome our own camera club members and other SAPA Club members to our discussions on photography. Our next planned Evening as I write this article is world renowned Michael Freeman. Michael Freeman has also published more than 120 books on subjects as varied as Angkor, Sudan, ethnic minorities in Southeast Asia, the Shakers, and contemporary Japanese design and architecture. His 50 books on the practice of photography are standard works, and have sold almost two million copies in more than 20 languages. These books include the best-sellers The 35mm Handbook, The Complete Guide to Digital Photography, and most recently The Photographer’s Eye.
For his photographic writing, with a million and a half books sold in many languages, he was awarded the Prix Louis Philippe Clerc fromn the Musée Française de la Photographie in Bièvres, France. He was consultant for, and appeared in, a BBC Television photography series. He has also judged the Nikon Press Awards and has designed, written and continues to supervise all of the British Open College of the Arts photography courses (which now accumulate to a BA Honours degree, the first photography degree available through distance learning in the UK).
